How to stream the NFL playoffs with a VPN

Whether you’re looking to find the best way to watch the NFL playoffs on NFL Game Pass with your Apple TV or Android TV, or test cord-cutting services that include NFL action, you’ve come to the right place.

On this page you’ll find information on how to securely watch the NFL playoffs with a VPN, analyses and predictions for upcoming games, and ongoing odds for the best bet to win the Super Bowl.

Get NFL Game Pass International and stream the NFL Playoffs live without blackouts

If you’re looking to catch every game of the NFL playoffs, but don’t have a U.S. cable subscription, NFL Game Pass is your best option.

You can access NFL Game Pass worldwide, but the U.S. version does not allow live streaming of games. Some games are blacked out in parts of Europe as well. Only users who sign up for Game Pass from a non-U.S. and non-Europe location will have live-streaming access to every game, everywhere. Prices vary by region.

To access NFL Game Pass with a VPN:

  1. Get ExpressVPN.
  2. Connect to a non-U.S. location where all games are available. For assistance, contact ExpressVPN Support via live chat.
  3. Go to NFL Game Pass and sign up.
  4. Sit back and enjoy!

NFL blackouts: International Game Pass vs. U.S. Game Pass

What’s the difference between watching NFL Game Pass in Germany, Australia, Canada, or the U.S.? NFL Game Pass is available both inside and outside the States. However, there are key differences every fan needs to know:

The U.S. NFL Game Pass does not offer live streaming of regular-season or postseason games. It provides streams of out-of-market preseason games, on-demand replays of every regular-season game, and the NFL Films archive. There are no blackouts of regular-season games (because none are shown live at all). A seven-day free trial is available.
In most other markets, such as Mexico and most EU countries, the international NFL Game Pass offers all 256 regular-season games plus the NFL Playoffs and Super Bowl. Users trying to watch the NFL in the UK or Ireland are subject to blackouts on some games, and for viewers who want to stream the NFL in Canada, Game Pass is available exclusively through DAZN.

Most international Game Pass subscribers get access to NFL RedZone, the NFL Network, and all NFL Films programming. There’s a seven-day free trial available.

More Game Pass Information

If you’re looking for more information before committing to a Game Pass subscription, here are some answers to some of the questions you may have:

Is NFL Game Pass UK the same as International Game Pass?

In a word, no. Regional broadcasting rights in the UK and the Republic of Ireland mean certain games are subject to blackout restrictions.

This applies even if a subscriber from the UK or Ireland is in another part of the EU. Existing EU Portability Regulations require UK and Ireland blackout restrictions to apply no matter where in the EU the subscriber is.

Can I watch NFL Game Pass in Europe?

EU viewers who subscribe to NFL Game Pass from most locations other than the UK or Ireland should have access to all games live, although limited blackouts may apply if such users try to watch from the UK or Ireland.

Where is the cheapest location to get NFL International Game Pass?

NFL international Game Pass prices vary from region to region, but South American locations tend to offer the lowest prices, which can get as low as 75 USD for the season. For information about specific countries, contact ExpressVPN Support.

Subscription refunds are valid up to seven days from the purchase date. Free trial refunds are valid up to three days after the trial ends. More details can be found on the NFL Digital Care site.

Divisional Round Matchups

Below are all the playoff games on the schedule for the divisional round (all times EDT):

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Tennessee Titans – Saturday January 22, 2022, 4:30 p.m.

This isn’t the most glamorous matchup of the weekend, but whoever makes it through will be a worthy challenger in the AFC Championship Game. The Bengals are riding high after securing their first playoff win in 31 years and their offense is fueled by elite playmakers and a confident Joe Burrow at quarterback. The Titans aren’t as explosive, but their defense is rock solid and the return of Derrick Henry could allow them to dominate on the ground.

Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers – Saturday, January 22, 2022, 8:15 p.m.

The Packers are the favorites in this one, especially considering it will be played in the cold at Lambeau Field, but the 49ers were impressive in their upset over the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round. San Francisco’s combination of creative rushing and a disruptive pass rush may give Green Bay a scare, but it’s tough not to like Aaron Rodgers’s side.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Los Angeles Rams – Sunday January 23, 2022, 3:00 p.m.

This game will be an interesting referendum on the value of a truly elite quarterback. It’s tough to identify many spots on the Rams roster where they’re inferior to the injury-depleted Buccaneers, but Tampa Bay has seven-time champion Tom Brady behind center, which makes them tough to bet against. If Matt Stafford can avoid turning the ball over the Rams have a great chance to win, but that’s been a struggle for the big-armed quarterback lately.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills – January 23, 2022, 8:15 p.m.

Without a doubt, this is the best game of the weekend. The Bills looked utterly unstoppable in the Wild Card round and have a team specifically designed to take down the Chiefs. Even so, Kansas City has an improved defense, home-field advantage, and the unstoppable triumvirate of Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Tyreek Hill. If you can only find time for one game this weekend this is the one, and if you have other plans Sunday night, you might want to cancel.

Who’s going to win the Super Bowl?

Thanks to the combination of home-field advantage, an improved defense, and the MVP-caliber play of Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers look exceedingly hard to beat, but there’s no runaway favorite in the field.

Patick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have gotten better as the season has gone on, and showed a ferocity on defense that’s paired well with their top-flight offense. It would be foolish to count out the defending champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who play a distinct style that relies on a high-volume passing attack and an ability to shut down opponents’ running games, although Tom Brady is now missing two of his top offensive weapons. Those three teams comprise the top tier of contenders.

Behind that trio, the Buffalo Bills look dangerous thanks to their well-balanced roster, a dynamic attack led by Josh Allen, and a downright dominant win over the New England Patriots in the Wild Card round. The Tennessee Titans can’t be ignored considering they’re the AFC’s top seed and Derrick Henry is coming back. The Los Angeles Rams might have the most pure star power in the NFL, but Matt Stafford’s ability to avoid critical mistakes is always in question.

Dark horses include the San Francisco 49ers with their combination of innovative running plays and solid defense, and the Cincinnati Bengals behind an ascending Joe Burrow.

Here are the championship probabilities of the remaining teams as calculated by FiveThirtyEight:

Green Bay Packers25%
Kansas City Chiefs24%
Tampa Bay Buccaneers15%
Buffalo Bills12%
Tennessee Titans10%
Los Angeles Rams7%
