2019-20 Heisman prediction

Kyler Murray was the 2018 Heisman Trophy winner. After trailing Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa all season in the Heisman odds, the Oklahoma Sooners QB claimed the award to give OU back-to-back Heisman winners (following Baker Mayfield in 2017).

With Murray lighting up the NFL, the field is set for a new Stiff Arm Trophy winner. Joe Burrow has absolutely shredded defenses for the LSU Tigers this year, and with Tagovailoa’s injury effectively ending his campaign early, he should be a lock for the gong. Are you backing Burrow to win the Heisman?

College football weekly recap and highlights

Championship week is here and with it, a last chance for a slew of contenders to make the four-team college football playoff. The SEC Championship Game is the biggest game of the week, pitting No. 1 LSU’s explosive offense against No. 4 Georgia’s watertight defense. The Tigers may still be in the playoffs if they lose a close contest, but it’s do or die for the Bulldogs, who already have a loss to unranked South Carolina on their resume.

Elsewhere, No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Clemson are heavily favored to win their conferences but will have to overcome tricky opposition to reach the promised land. Should either team trip up, No. 5 Utah and No. 6 Oklahoma will be ready to take their spots, but the Utes will have to slow down the 13th-ranked Oregon Ducks while the Sooners will have to survive another shootout with the 8th-ranked Baylor Bears.
