This guide explains how to subscribe to ExpressVPN directly within the ExpressKeys mobile apps on iOS and Android.

When you purchase a subscription through the ExpressKeys apps, you’ll get access to the Advanced plan, which includes ExpressKeys, ExpressVPN, Identity Defender (U.S. users only), ExpressMailGuard, and the holiday.com eSIM.

How to purchase an ExpressVPN subscription in ExpressKeys for iOS

1. Download and install the ExpressKeys app on iOS

To subscribe to ExpressVPN via the ExpressKeys app for iOS, you first need to download and install the ExpressKeys app on your device from the App Store.

1. Open the App Store on your iOS device, tap Search, and search for “ExpressKeys.”
2. Tap Get and wait for the app to download and install.

2. Purchase a subscription on iOS

Once installed, you can proceed to purchase an ExpressVPN subscription in the ExpressKeys app.

1. When the app opens, you’ll see a series of screens outlining what ExpressKeys has to offer. Tap Next through each screen or tap Skip.
2. On the last screen, tap Get started.
3. On the welcome screen, select Create Account.
4. Select your preferred subscription plan and tap Subscribe.
5. Confirm the purchase using Face ID or your Apple ID password.
6. Your subscription will be activated and linked to your Apple ID.

If you had an ExpressVPN subscription before that has since expired: You do not need to create a new account. On the welcome screen, select Sign In and follow the instructions to log into your account. You’ll then be prompted to purchase a new subscription.

How to purchase an ExpressVPN subscription in ExpressKeys for Android

1. Download and install the ExpressKeys app on Android

To purchase an ExpressVPN subscription in the ExpressKeys app, you’ll need to download and install the app from Google Play.

1. Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device and search for “ExpressKeys.”
2. Tap Install to download and install the app.
3. Once installed, tap Open to open the ExpressKeys app.

2. Purchase a subscription in the ExpressKeys app on Android

Once installed, open the ExpressKeys app and follow these steps to purchase an ExpressVPN subscription:

1. When the app opens, you’ll see a series of screens outlining what ExpressKeys has to offer. Tap Next through each screen and on the last screen, tap Get Started.
2. On the welcome screen, select Create Account.
3. Select your preferred subscription plan and tap Subscribe.
4. Tap Subscribe on the pop-up to confirm the purchase through your Google Play account. If you don’t already have a payment method set in Google Play, the app will prompt you to add one. Once you do, you can go back to the ExpressKeys app to subscribe.
5. Your subscription will be activated and linked to your Google account.

If you had an ExpressVPN subscription before that has since expired: You do not need to create a new account. On the welcome screen, select Sign In and follow the instructions to log into your account. You’ll then be prompted to purchase a new subscription.

How to set up your ExpressVPN account after in-app purchase

After completing your purchase, you’ll need to create an ExpressVPN account to access your subscription.

To set up your account, the steps are the same on iOS and Android:

1. When the purchase is confirmed, the app will take you to the welcome screen again. Tap Create Account.
2. When prompted, enter your email address twice and tap Create Account.
3. A verification code will be sent to your email.
4. Check your email for the code, enter it, and tap Next.

You now have an ExpressVPN account and can continue to set up and use ExpressKeys from here. Follow these instructions to set up the ExpressKeys app for iOS or set up the ExpressKeys app for Android.

What to do if you dismissed the account setup

If you dismissed the account setup prompt or closed the app before completing it, you can still create your account. Open the ExpressKeys app and follow the same steps for purchasing a subscription for iOS or Android. When you get to the Subscription screen, tap Restore Purchase. This tells the app store to check your purchase history and restore your subscription in the app.

You’ll see a confirmation that your subscription has been restored.
