New email aliasing and inbox protection service helps users reduce spam and protect their real email address—now included in ExpressVPN plans.
BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS; February 5, 2026 — ExpressVPN, a leading consumer privacy and security company, today announced the launch of ExpressMailGuard, a new email aliasing and inbox protection service designed to help users take control of one of their most exposed digital identifiers: their email address.
ExpressMailGuard helps protect user privacy by letting users create disposable email aliases. These unique addresses mask a user's real email when signing up for services, using apps, or dealing with potentially untrusted services. All mail is forwarded to the user's primary inbox - and users can instantly block any alias that receives spam or unwanted messages.
Unlike existing email alias tools that often only work within a single provider or device ecosystem, ExpressMailGuard works with any email service and any device, making it simple to create and manage aliases across the accounts users already rely on.
Privacy protection for everyday email
Email addresses have become a universal identifier that can be used to track activity across services and increasingly to target people through phishing and data breaches. In 2025, nearly 2 billion unique email addresses were exposed in public data breaches, highlighting the scale of email-based privacy risk online.1
ExpressMailGuard is designed to reduce that exposure and give users more control over how their email address is shared and used online.
“Email addresses are permanent, but many of the services people sign up for are not,” said Shay Peretz, COO at ExpressVPN. “ExpressMailGuard is like a VPN for e-mail. We’re making it easy for anyone to protect their real email address, reduce unwanted exposure, and manage aliases in one place, no matter which email provider they use.”
A dashboard built for clarity and control
At launch, ExpressMailGuard includes a dedicated dashboard where users can manage aliases, see which services each alias was used for, and review blocked messages. Users can also set up simple rules and automations to control what gets forwarded and what gets stopped.
Key features:
- Unlimited email aliases: Generate an unlimited number of random, unique email aliases for sign-ups, subscriptions, and more, subject to conditions.
- Works with any email provider: Use aliases across ecosystems and inboxes you already have, across different services and devices.
- Easy alias management: Central dashboard to view and manage aliases, enable or disable them, view status, review emails forwarded/blocked/sent, and browse aliases by category (Active, Inactive, Deleted) across shared domains.
- Recipient inbox control: Choose where forwarded mail goes by assigning one or more destination inboxes and updating recipients without changing existing aliases.
- Rules and automations: Set preferences for forwarding, filtering, and blocking unwanted messages based on your preferences.
- Usage and limits: Track monthly bandwidth usage and delivery activity at a glance.
ExpressMailGuard is now available globally as part of ExpressVPN’s tiered subscription plans, with features varying by plan. Users retain access to ExpressMailGuard for as long as their VPN subscription is active.
The service is delivered as a standalone web app and integrates seamlessly into the broader ExpressVPN ecosystem. It is accessible only while users maintain an active ExpressVPN subscription, extending the company’s privacy protections beyond VPN into everyday digital identity use.
