How many devices can I connect to the VPN simultaneously?
The number of devices you can connect to the VPN at the same time depends on which subscription tier you chose at checkout:
- Basic: 10 devices at the same time.
- Advanced: 12 devices at the same time.
- Pro: 14 devices at the same time.
Examples of possible device combinations
One Pro ExpressVPN subscription can be used on:
- Fourteen computers, or
- six iPhones, four iPads, and four MacBook, or
- five computers, two Kindle Fire devices, six iPhones, and one router, or
- any other similar combination regardless of device type.
If you have reached the connection limit and want to connect on another device, disconnect a connected device. To disconnect, click or tap .
If you are getting a “Connection Limit Reached” warning but have fewer devices connected than your subscription tier allows, contact the ExpressVPN Support Team for immediate assistance.
What if I need to connect more than fourteen devices?
If you would like to use ExpressVPN with more than eight devices simultaneously, you can:
- purchase additional subscriptions, or
- share your connection from a Windows computer, or
- set up a VPN router and connect as many devices to it as you wish.
