What will the interview be about?

Alec Baldwin’s exclusive interview with ABC marks the actor’s first public interview with his version of what transpired while filming Rust. A few months ago, while filming on-set, Baldwin discharged a prop firearm that fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounded the film’s director, Joel Souza.

A short teaser about the interview showed Baldwin in tears as he talked about Hutchins. Baldwin also states “I didn’t pull the trigger,” and maintains that “Someone put a live bullet in a gun. A bullet that wasn’t even supposed to be on the property.” A criminal investigation into the shooting is currently underway.

Additionally, a follow-up special will air on Friday, December 10th at 9:00 p.m. EST. The two-hour 20/20 special will include the interview with Alec Baldwin as well as more footage about the shooting, and will be available to stream on ABC and Hulu.
