This tutorial guide will show you how to set up a VPN on your D-Link Router with the L2TP protocol. After setup, you may connect any number of devices to the VPN.

Note: This tutorial was tested with the following router: D-Link DIR-842 (Firmware Version: 2.02). Since there are so many models of D-Link routers, we could not test this setup on all of them. Additionally, some D-Link routers only allow IP addresses to get entered on them, so they do not accept ExpressVPN server names. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide IP addresses for setup on those routers.

If you are encountering difficulties for your specific D-Link router model, please contact the ExpressVPN Support Team for assistance.

Before you begin, you may wish to make note of your default Internet settings. This will help you revert to your original Internet settings when the VPN is not required.
