What NFL Week 7 games should I watch with ExpressVPN?

Game of the WeekPittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans [Oct. 25, 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time (U.S.)]

There are only three undefeated teams left in the NFL and two of them are squaring off here. The Titans bring an unstoppable offense to the table thanks to the power running of Derrick Henry and the play-action mastery of Ryan Tannehill. Their defense is leaky to say the least, allowing 6.2 yards per play and 25.2 points per game. The Steelers are a more balanced squad, but they’ve also faced a pretty weak slate of opponents so far. If this turns into a shootout they may struggle to keep up.

You can check out the other top Week 7 battles here or view the full Week 7 schedule.

NFL blackouts: International Game Pass vs. U.S. Game Pass

What’s the difference between watching NFL Game Pass in Germany, Australia, Canada, or the U.S.? NFL Game Pass is available both inside and outside the States. However, there are key differences every fan needs to know:

The U.S. NFL Game Pass does not offer live streaming of regular-season or postseason games. It provides streams of out-of-market preseason games, on-demand replays of every regular-season game, and the NFL Films archive. There are no blackouts of regular-season games (because none are shown live at all). A seven-day free trial is available.

In most other markets, such as Mexico and most EU countries, the international NFL Game Pass offers all 256 regular-season games plus the NFL Playoffs and Super Bowl. Users trying to watch the NFL in the UK or Ireland are subject to blackouts on some games, and for viewers who want to stream the NFL in Canada, Game Pass is available exclusively through DAZN.

Most international Game Pass subscribers get access to NFL RedZone, the NFL Network, and all NFL Films programming. There’s a seven-day free trial available.

Is NFL Game Pass UK the same as the international Game Pass?

In a word, no. Regional broadcasting rights in the UK and the Republic of Ireland mean certain games are subject to blackout restrictions.

This applies even if a subscriber from the UK or Ireland is in another part of the EU. Existing EU Portability Regulations require UK and Ireland blackout restrictions to apply no matter where in the EU the subscriber is.

Can I watch NFL Game Pass in Europe?

EU viewers who subscribe to NFL Game Pass from most locations other than the UK or Ireland should have access to all games live, although limited blackouts may apply if such users try to watch from the UK or Ireland.

Where is the cheapest location to get NFL international Game Pass?

NFL international Game Pass prices vary from region to region, but Asia Pacific locations tend to offer the lowest prices. For information about specific countries, contact ExpressVPN Support.

Subscription refunds are valid up to seven days from the purchase date. Free trial refunds are valid up to three days after the trial ends. More details can be found on the NFL Digital Care site.

Which devices can I watch NFL international Game Pass on?

NFL Game Pass works on the following devices. To set up ExpressVPN on your device, follow the corresponding link below:

What’s the difference between NFL Game Pass and NFL Sunday Ticket?

NFL Game Pass is the NFL’s streaming service. It is different from NFL Sunday Ticket, which is exclusive to AT&T TV Now.

NFL Game Pass comes in two flavors. The domestic Game Pass only shows out-of-market preseason games, regular-season game replays, and the full range of NFL Films. The international Game Pass shows every live regular season and playoff game, including the Super Bowl. Read more about the nuances of NFL Game Pass.

NFL Sunday Ticket is only available to U.S. with a valid service address. Sunday Ticket shows out-of-market games only and excludes select international games. In particular, games broadcast by your local Fox or CBS affiliate will not be available for streaming.

NFL Sunday Ticket starts at 73.50 USD/month for four months. If you live in the U.S. and don’t mind missing a portion of the games, NFL Sunday Ticket might be worth considering. The international version of NFL Game Pass costs at least 125 USD/season but gives you access to every game and a wide range of extras.

Top 2020 Week 7 NFL Games

Thursday Night FootballNew York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles [Oct. 22, 8:20 p.m. ET]

This is a “top” game only because there are no other options on Thursday. These teams have combined for just two wins all season, and yet the NFC East is so weak that either could get into contention for a division crown with a couple of wins. The better bet to do that is the Eagles if Carson Wentz can recreate his early-career form. Hope is more elusive for the Giants.

Late Game of the WeekSeattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals [Oct. 25, 4:25 p.m. ET]

A game featuring Russell Wilson, Kyler Murray and a pair of unimpressive defenses is likely to result in an entertaining shootout. With a win, the Seahawks can start to pull away in an NFC West division that was supposed to be the toughest in the league. A loss muddies the waters once again.

Sunday Night FootballTampa Bay Buccaneers at Las Vegas Raiders [Oct. 25, 8:20 p.m. ET]

Both of these teams have recently pulled impressive upsets that have significantly raised their stock. The Buccaneers hit their stride in Week 6 with a win over the Green Bay Packers that got Rob Gronkowski heavily involved for the first time. Meanwhile the Raiders are fresh off their bye, and most recently took down the Kansas City Chiefs. This should be a fun clash between two squads with plenty of offensive firepower.

Monday Night FootballChicago Bears at Los Angeles Rams [Oct. 26, 8:15 p.m. ET]

The Bears are one of the least-heralded 5-1 teams in recent memory thanks to a quarterback situation that’s less-than-ideal, but they’ve got the defence to play with anybody. Their challenge on Monday will be a resurgent Rams offense that has Jared Goff finding his favorite duo of Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods like it’s 2018 again. Right now both teams project to make the playoffs as wild cards so this game could have some playoff seeding ramifications down the line.

2020-21 NFL award races

MVP: At this stage in the season, Russell Wilson has to be the frontrunner considering he leads the league in passing touchdowns and passer rating — even after a dicey performance against the Minnesota Vikings and a bye. Aaron Rodgers was next in line before struggling last week, so that spot may belong to Josh Allen now. It’s also impossible to sleep on Patrick Mahomes, who remains the most talented player in the sport, but Wilson is in the driver’s seat.

So far no non-quarterbacks have been dominant enough to edge their way into the conversation.

Preseason prediction: Patrick Mahomes (QB, Kansas City Chiefs)

Offensive Player of the Year: : You could argue for one of the quarterbacks here, but the best case might belong to Derrick Henry. Right now the Tennessee Titans running back is doing it all. He leads the league in yards per game by a wide margin (117.6, compared to Dalvin Cook in second place at 97.8) and is second in touchdowns. A third of the way into the season, Henry has also provided gif-worthy stiff-arms and OT heroics.

Preseason prediction: Christian McCaffrey (RB, Carolina Panthers)

Defensive Player of the Year: Perennial contender Aaron Donald has jumped ahead in this race after a slow start. The powerful defensive tackle leads the league in sacks (7.5) and quarterback hits (14) despite the fact he faces a double team on every play. Nobody affects opposing offenses as much as Donald.

Preseason prediction: Aaron Donald (DT, Los Angeles Rams)

Offensive Rookie of the Year:  As Joe Burrow has slipped a little bit in recent weeks, the door for this award has cracked open. Clyde Edwards-Helaire looks like the first obvious candidate to take advantage, but since the Chiefs signed Le’Veon Bell he might be sharing the workload. The top dog right now has to be Justin Jefferson of the Vikings, who ranks fifth in the league in receiving yards with 537.

Preseason prediction: Joe Burrow (QB, Cincinnati Bengals)

Defensive Rookie of the Year: Not only does Ravens linebacker Patrick Queen rank second among rookies in tackles with 44, he’s also got a pair of fumble recoveries, including one he returned 53 yards for a touchdown in Week 5.

Preseason prediction: Isaiah Simmons (LB, Arizona Cardinals)

Comeback Player of the Year: The prohibitive favorite for this one was Cam Newton, but now that his health is in question the door is open. Our preseason pick of Ben Roethlisberger is looking pretty good right now as the 38-year-old is putting up rock-solid passing numbers across the board, contributing to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ undefeated run.

Preseason prediction: Ben Roethlisberger (QB, Pittsburgh Steelers)

Coach of the Year: This favorite for this award fluctuates wildly week-to-week, but right now Mike Vrabel of the Titans is in a good spot. His team is undefeated even though they’ve endured a coronavirus outbreak, limiting their practice time and altering their schedule. In the midst of the chaos, this club is functioning like a well-oiled machine, and their head coach deserves credit for that.

Preseason prediction: Kliff Kingsbury (Arizona Cardinals)

Who’s making Super Bowl LV?

Past the quarter pole of the season the true contenders are beginning to emerge. The Kansas City Chiefs look primed to defend their crown thanks to an offense that somehow got even better thanks to added dimension brought by rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire. The Chiefs defense only needs to be respectable for this team to roll over its opponents, and even if it comes down to a shootout they are well equipped to win those games. Despite an anomalous loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5, the Chiefs are still the favorites.

In the second tier of contenders are teams like the Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks. Each of these clubs is helmed by a veteran quarterback who’s won at least one Super Bowl before. What’s more, all four offenses look exceedingly strong out of the gate. The Steelers are especially dangerous because they have an elite defense to match, but they need Ben Roethlisberger to stay healthy to compete, and that’s been a tall order in recent years. The Baltimore Ravens also aren’t going anywhere, but their decisive Week 3 loss to the Chiefs raises questions about their ability to topple the reigning champs.

There are also a few dark horses in the field, like the Buffalo Bills, who’ve seen their previously-erratic quarterback Josh Allen take the next step, and the Indianapolis Colts, who have a steady quarterback in Philip Rivers, and a defense that’s been extraordinary. The Titans were the story of last year’s playoffs, and they have yet to lose a game, but it’s still tough to believe in Ryan Tannehill as an elite quarterback after all his mediocre years in Miami.

  1. Hi!

I signed on yesterday and tried to get DAZN Canada, but unfortunately it didn’t work as it showed me an error when trying to sign in to DAZN. I looked up the error online on reddit and someone suggested trying from Vancouver but that didn’t work.
I tried going to the NFL game pass mexico site but it appeared to be blocked.

Has Dazn/NFL blocked Express VPN? if not, are there other ways for me to work this out?

    Thanks,

  2. Increase the volume up on the sportcasters that are calling the Packers vs. Vikings game. On TV, the (faux) volume of the stand fans/white noise is louder thus we can’t clearly hear the calls. Thank you.

  3. Hi,
I am living in the Detroit Area, have PS Vue and want to watch every Packers game.
Is it possible via ExpressVPN e.g. via a virtual server that is located in Wisconsin?
    Thanks a lot.
    Mike

    1. Hi Mike,

You will need to connect to a server location where Packers games aren’t blacked out. In the past, connecting to the nearest non-Wisconsin location has delivered the best results.

  4. If I purchase NFL Game pass with a US address CC will it let me access the International version?
Everyone says get the International version,,,,,it doesn’t matter what your Bank / CC billing address is ?

  5. Hi, I want to purchase the game pass essential from Spain. Can I watch the Game in 40 min of all games? Including the Game in 40 min of the playoffs? Thanks.

  6. I have expressvpn. I connected to Thailand and went to gamepass and started a trail for their top tier package. But whenever i go to watch the videos it just sits ad loading with the dots.

I’ve cleared my browser cookies and histrory, I’ve downloaded the browser extension, I tried both chrome and firefox, i updated flash…but still no go….Can you help me figure this out?

    1. Hi Kevin,

If you’re on Windows, please try watching on Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge. If you’re on Mac, please try watching on Safari.

  7. hello, please help, i live in PA and i would like to watch my favorite team the atlanta falcons all year long including pre-season games. The only games that ever show in my area are the dam eagles and giants, what do i need to do to watch my falcons live??

    1. Hi Brent,

Try watching through the international version of NFL Game Pass. Simply connect to a non-U.S. location (you can get further advice by contacting Support: https://www.expressvpn.com/support/#open-chat) and purchase the Game Pass. This will give you access to every Falcons game, including the preseason and postseason, all the way up to the Super Bowl.

How are you feeling about the season? We’re expecting a bounce-back campaign for Atlanta after last year!

        1. Hi Nicki,

From the ExpressVPN app, click on the bar that indicates your current location. You can then select a non-U.S. location to connect to.

  8. I just moved from NY to Florida and want to stream and watch my NY Jets football games on my tv not a mobile device. I do not want to get satelite service just to get nfl sunday ticket. Do you have a solution that will work for me that is not too complicated? i have very good internet speeds
    Thanks

  9. Hello, I was bombed by NFL Game Pass that I can no longer get Game Pass in 2019 from Panama Central America where I live. I cover the Miami Dolphins for a living, so this puts me in a bind. I used the coaches cam on Game Pass regularly, so getting access to it , and the games is paramount to me smiling again. How can I get my former access back through your VPN? Just purchase, download, and then resign up for Game Pass? Thanks in advance.

    1. Hi Michael,

Please try connecting to a U.S. server location and logging into your account. Domestic versions of NFL Game Pass include the All-22 Coaches Film. This feature may not be available to certain versions of the international Game Pass.

  10. Still can’t figure out why Daniel Jones went sixth. But y’all watch when he leads Big Blue to the playoffs lol

  11. I live in Williamsburg, VA. I have Direct TV. I want to see the Atlanta Falcons (in real time) but I am blocked except for regularly scheduled nationally televised games, how can I get around this block?

  12. I am going to be in Acapulco during the Chiefs playoff game. I have the NFL game day pass but have not had any luck making it work in the past. What do I need to do to see this game?

    1. Hi Luke,

Did you purchase the U.S. Game Pass or the international Game Pass?

If you’re using the international Game Pass, you should have no problem watching the games. Please try connecting to a non-U.S. VPN location before watching one of the games.

If you bought the U.S. Game Pass, you won’t be able to watch any of the games live. However, you can use Sling or any of the other services mentioned above. They all come with a free trial.

  13. Youtube will allow three changes of address then you just erase your account and sign in again and you will get three more address changes This is the way I received the NFL this year. I now better ways now! thanks for the ideas

  14. My husband is an avid Steelers fan. We live in Virginia so are subjected to plenty of blackouts on the season games. We have a full cable package on Comcast so are not limited by that source. We don’t have a smart TV but do have Samsung S9 phones on Verizon. What is our best option to see the games live?

  15. I have now become a little confused. I am in NJ and only want to watch the Packers’ games. How hard is it to / how do you / change-over to an in-market TV station for Wisconsin? THX in advance.

    1. Hi Ken,

Which streaming method are you using? If you’re using the international version of NFL Game Pass, you will have access to all games and won’t face blackouts. If you’re using a domestic stream, try connecting to a non-Wisconsin location before you watch a game.

For any further issues, please contact Support: https://www.expressvpn.com/support/#open-chat

      p.s. Go Pack Go! 😉

      1. Quick Question – Once I sign up for the International Game Pass, do I need to VPN everytime I want to use it? Or can i just use my login and get access?

I would love to use the NFL APP on the Apple TV to navigate the games but not sure if I need to VPN in everytime in order to watch it.

  16. Just signed up for game pass via Germany server. Looks like I’m good to go with streaming live. Question: will I nerd to install expressvpn at the router level to use the NFL app on my Xbox one now that my international account is active? Like, will it black out a game if it knows my Xbox is stateside?

    1. Hi Zeke,

For Game Pass, connect to a VPN location in Asia and then purchase/access the international Game Pass. If you only want to follow the Dolphins, you can select the “Follow Your Team” package and save some money. If you need guidance on which locations to use, please speak to Support: https://www.expressvpn.com/support/#open-chat

Another option to check out is NFL Sunday Ticket. DirecTV offers NFL Sunday Ticket as a standalone product, but you’ll need to prove that your address doesn’t support DirecTV or that you live in a multi-unit residence (like an apartment).

      Hope that helps!

  17. Hello,

I’m from Germany and would like to watch all of the NFL games. Can I access the Gamepass with all of the live games from Germany?

    Thanks,
    Robert

  18. Want to watch the Washington Redskins from Florida, however, it is out-of-market . I downloaded ExpressVPN. Since it’s out-of-market, I have to select a Location that is not in the US, correct? I selected Canada based on the speed test. Is that correct? Now, what is the next step? Thank you.

    1. Hi Celeste,

Which streaming package are you using? Please try connecting to a location where Redskins games are part of the in-market coverage e.g. the Washington DC locations.

  19. Hi there,

I want to know more about watching NFL game pass from Canada. Any other options besides DAZN? What’s the game pass price?

    Thanks

    1. Hi Brooke,

Outside of DAZN, you can watch the games for free on mobile by downloading the NFL Mobile app or the Yahoo Sports app. Be sure to connect to a U.S. location before watching.

Otherwise, you can connect to an overseas location to purchase the international game pass. Good locations to try are Australia, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.

  20. Why is it necessary to use the Browser extension when watching a game? I have been using Express VPN without the Browser extension on my computer for some time now, am I exposing my location by doing so??

    1. Hi Jimmy,

Some content and stream providers have started to block content based on the geolocation of users. The ExpressVPN browser extension prevents your browser from revealing your location and can help you access streams with privacy, no matter where you are.

Using the browser extension is not necessary for many sites, but for others, this will ensure an interruption-free streaming experience.

  21. I recently purchased NFL Game Pass, to watch the Kansas City Chiefs games while overseas. I didn’t realize the restrictions on watching overseas, so I just bought ExpressVPN, hoping that I can make it look like I’m still in the US. However, when I try to access the games, I am still having issues. In theory, should I be able to use ExpressVPN to watch the games outside of the US? If so, do you know what might be going wrong?

    1. Hi Garrett,

Which device are you trying to watch the games on? If you’re trying to watch on Windows or Mac, make sure you’re connected to the VPN and are using the ExpressVPN browser extension. If you’re on mobile, make sure you’re connected to the VPN and try to disable location sharing.

If you have further issues, please contact Support at https://www.expressvpn.com/support/#open-chat

    1. Hi Steve,

To watch in the UK, try watching the games via the NFL app or the Yahoo Sports app. Remember to connect to a location in the U.S. before downloading the apps and make sure you’re still connected when watching the games.

    1. Hi Allie,

You can try watching the games using the Verizon or Yahoo Sports apps. Due to in-market restrictions, make sure you’re connected to a VPN location that’s showing the game or the nearest available location.

      1. I am also going to try this. I connected to a local VPN, but the yahoo sports app still says the game is not available in my location. Does that have to do with my phone GPS? Or is it because the game doesn’t start until tomorrow?

        1. Hi Brian,

For best results, please try turning off your mobile location. You may also want to try connecting to a server location that’s closer to the game broadcast.

        2. I have trying to figure out how to watch the Colts for the past 2 years I have lived in Montana. The only teams that they ever play here are Seattle, Denver, Green Bay, Minnesota, and the nationally televised games. I’ve only gotten to watch 2 Colts games live in 2 years and one of the times I was actually in Texas. I’ve tried the VPN on my phone, Xbox one, laptop, and Roku Smart TV. All trying to use the NFL app. And I’ve also tried free trials of Sling, Fubo, YouTube, and just about anything else on all my devices and even being connected to the VPN it still only offers me the same teams/games. What would you recommend I try? And what location would be best for me to try and connect to? Thanks

          1. Is there a way to do it without using international game pass? I really just want to watch one team so I don’t want to pay that much when I could possibly do it with a cheaper subscription.

  22. I want to watch all NFL games via from my laptop or phone while I’m at work. If I purchase one of the 3 packages this will allow me to watch any and all NFL games? I especially only want to watch my Eagles. Please help!! Ty

    1. Hi Jade,

It depends on where you are. Verizon (via the NFL Mobile and Yahoo Sports apps) offers free streams, but you’ll need to check if the Eagles are an in-market game for where you are. Otherwise, you can sign up for any of the other paid packages, just be sure to cancel before the free trial ends and catch any other games you’re missing on Twitch (for free!)

  23. I want to watch NFL on my Vizio Smart TV and have a Roku player but no cable subscription. Will the purchase of the VPN allow me to use DAZN to stream the games to my TV?

  24. So, are you saying that even with an ExpressVPN account, I will need to have a cable subscription in order to live stream any and all of the events I wish to watch?

    1. Hi Billy,

Not necessarily. This past season, Yahoo Sports offered free streams for the playoffs. Amazon offered free Thursday Night Football, while services like Sling TV showed regular season games and come with a free trial. With a VPN, a cable subscription is nice but not necessary 🙂

  25. I’m from Philadelphia, but will be in Israel for the Superbowl. The hotel that I’m staying at says that they don’t have Fox Sports, so I need to live stream the event to my devices–my iPhone 7 plus and my pad, which is an Android. For the latter, I was going to use ExpressVPN and YouTube TV, which is what you were saying a few days ago. But now you are saying to download TV player and have a TV license. Do I really need a licence? How do I get one? If I have to download TV Player, do I have to select a UK server thru ExpressVPN? Will the option that you were originally suggesting NOT work, i.e., ExpressVPN, selecting a US server, and using YouTube TV?

As a back-up, I was going to use ExpressVPN on my cell phone, select a US server, and download the Yahoo Sports app. Will that work?

Please advise on both matters. Thanks!

    1. Hi there,

ExpressVPN helps you access the various networks used to watch the NFL. However, you will need a cable subscription in order to watch the actual games. If you need guidance with which ExpressVPN servers to use, please get in touch with the support team at http://www.expressvpn.com/support/ 🙂
