If you can't use the ExpressVPN app, you can use an L2TP/IPSec connection from your Android. For this you'll need an L2TP/PPTP account. If you don't already have one, please contact us.
To connect via L2TP:
Go to Android Settings. Depending on your device's configuration, go to Menu > Settings:
Tap Wireless and Networks:
Tap VPN Settings:
Tap Add VPN:
Tap Add L2TP/IPSec PSK VPN:
Tap and type to set each of the following: VPN name: Something descriptive. For example: ExpressVPN USA West. VPN server: One of the server addresses we provided you. IPSec pre-shared key: 12345678
Tap the menu button and select Save, or simply press your BACK button.
Your device might now ask you for a password. This is NOT related to ExpressVPN. You may have set it for your device when configuring other passwords; or, your device might ask for a new password:
You should now see the newly created connection. Tap to connect:
Type the username and password that we provided for this L2TP account (NOT the ones you use to log into our website), and tap Connect: After a brief connection process, you'll see: Connected. All your network traffic is encrypted and routed through your selected server location, and you can now access any websites that are otherwise blocked.
To disconnect from ExpressVPN:
Drag down the status bar.
Tap the VPN connected notification:
You're back in the VPN settings page. Tap the connection name to disconnect:
You're disconnected from the VPN.
